My name is Amanda Bentow and today we are wrapping you in bubble wrap, lifting you out of that rut, and we’re making sure that you never fall back in again.
Today, I’m giving you four attitudes you can use to wrap yourself like bubble wrap. I’ll give you specific steps to use so that you can improve your focus and make sure that you are always improving yourself.
Personal development or growth is what drives us up the mountain of our best life. And in my weekly Life Lounge videos, I focus on topics that will help you become a better version of you, with no expectation to be anyone other than you. So make sure you subscribe so you’re getting these emails to your inbox.
Now here are the four attitudes about personal development or growth that will keep you out of your rut.
Number one: it’s your responsibility. No one else can do it for you.
Number two: you need to follow through. If you give up on your personal development, you give up on your growth, and then you give up on your future. Uhh, no pressure?!
Number three: it’s a way of life! Learn. Every day. Learn. Ask questions. Learn new things and grow more.
Number four: you’re never done. No one knows everything. And the more you’ll learn, the more you’ll want to know. So get comfy with that idea because you’re in this for the long-haul.
Alright, now let’s get focused. Pull out your schedule and choose one consistent time of day when you can focus on your personal development. Maybe it’s just 10 minutes a day. That’s perfect. Just block a chunk of time and make sure that you’re consistent with it every day. If you add up 10 minutes a day, do you know how much personal development you can get done in one entire year?
Make sure it’s the same time every day so that it becomes a consistent, automatic habit. You’ll miss it if you don’t do it. Now, make a list of topics that you want to learn about or resources that you want to learn from.
This video series is a perfect example!
then set a reminder on your phone or find an accountability buddy who can hold you accountable to sticking with your personal development on a daily basis.
Got it?
Adopt attitude, build in the focus. Now let’s go!
