When to drink Shakeology:
Drink it early in the day to boost your energy and get you off on the right track. Your body is most ready to absorb all of the great nutrients early in the morning, but TRULY, Shakeology is great any time of day. It can also be used as a post-workout shake.
- A.M- great way to start the day or as a mid morning/ after workout snack
- Lunch – easy, convenient way to replace your lunch if you’re busy or on the go

Tips for starting Shakeology:
- If you have a sensitive stomach, you might start with ½ scoop once or twice a day for the first few days then progress to 1 full scoop once a day
- Don’t chug it too fast! Take your time in drinking your shake so it settles well in your system
- For the best results, drink it daily. You’ll no longer be starving your body of the nutritients you need and you’ll begin to notice the benefits.
Tips for making Shakeology:
- If you are used to really sweet foods then remember to make your shake so you enjoy it and slowly reduce the sweeteners (fruit, stevia, flavored milk etc.)
- If you like it creamy use a milk source (unsweetened almond or coconut milk work well) or add yogurt (unsweetened Greek preferably)
- If you want more protein- best natural source is greek yogurt- cheap and buy it in a big tub use 1/2 cup adds a lot of protein & calcium or find a low sugar protein powder.
- If you are using it as a meal replacement then don’t be afraid to add a few calories (yogurt, banana, fruit, milk, peanut butter etc.)
- If you like it thick like a milk shake use frozen fruit, (I often use strawberries) and add lots of ice. I usually make mine 12-16 oz!
- If you like a smooth texture, use banana or Greek yogurt and less ice.
- Experiment with a variety of recipes until you find your favorites. Get creative!
